Mallorca is known for Sandy beaches and coastline and yachting Marinas but there are some real hidden gems in Central Mallorca that can sometimes get overlooked or forgotten that deserve careful consideration and an honourable mention!
I'm actually lucky enough to live in one of those towns, namely Campanet. A pretty and quaint town with traditional features and local services and infrastructure.  Most of the Mallorcan towns and villages all have a central Plaza which becomes the main meeting point, eating point and general taking in of the local culture and atmosphere. My daughter has always loved to play out in the Plaza for hours on end, every parents dream!    Hear you will find local artisan shops and Bakeries alike and every week a small intimate market. Central Mallorca also has some of the most Stunning Vinyards and Scenery.  We even have Vacation Villas nestled inside wine producing vinyards, which can make for the most amazing stay.  Wine tours of Vinyards in Santa Maria, Binisalem, Consell, Alaro, to name but a few.  Tastings and pairings! In September,  Binisalem, holds a week long wine Festival in the centre of the town!  A reason in itself to visit and take part in the stomping of the grapes and general atmosphere!!! There is even a wine train!!!  Talking of trains there is also a fast train that passes through these towns taking you all the way into the heart of Palma, for a fantastic day sightseeing, shopping or Sailing.  Evenings in Palma are when the place becomes a mecca of diversity and gourmet/culinary delights! Its great to enjoy when you know you don’t have to drive home!!

Last weekend I visited the amazing town of Sineu, a large and important town in Mallorca.  The historic buildings and restaurants with local delicacies are a must see and try!  The good thing about Mallorca is that if you want to experience this style of vacation you are never too far away from the coastline, approx. 25 to 30 mins by car should you chose to hire one!  

More and more I find people are not just wanting a Villa Vacation holiday, they want to experience something unique and memorable, away from the normal Sun Sea and Sand and that’s whats so wonderful about the island.  It’s the reason we created the sister company to South West Mallorca, allowing our clients a completely brand new experience each time they come back to visit us.  These areas are at the base of the Tramauntana Mountains so an ideal spot for sporting tourism with cyclists flocking to these areas throughout the year!  Hiking and walking, is also proving popular and we arrange official guides to help you in what ever you chose to do!  

Finally, in Moscari we are so lucky to have two Jewels in the crown to the central Mallorca area, Villa Venus and Villa Serena which, together sleep up to 20 people and has its own private tennis court.  Inkeeping with its surroundings they have also just planted their own vines and marked out their own trecks and hikes!  Arriving back to the Villa to a chef who has prepared you a fantastic Paella and chilled you some amazing Blush wine, a cool floodlit pool and the scents from the herb gardens and flowers with views over the Valley.  Shared with family and friends, it’s a dream come true!
